Prior to entering the real estate profession, Sebastian owned and operated a successful import/export business that occupied a 21,000 Sq Ft warehouse and employed over 40 people. Owning and operating his own business was always a dream, and was something he was already thinking about well before he graduated from Mount Allison University with a degree in Geography and a post-graduate diploma in Geographic Information Systems.
After working in the high-tech field as an IT consultant, he was drawn to real estate and renovating and flipping properties. For a number of years, Sebastian renovated several properties himself (from the redesign to construction), and has been investing in real estate for over a decade.
With a background in business and real estate investing, he is able to offer his clients a unique level of expertise.
He became a realtor as it was a natural fit for him that combined both his interests and experience. Beyond the skills, accreditations and expertise, he understands how important it is to have the right people guide you through the process of buying/selling your home. He views the goal of his “business” not to be closing transactions but rather, to be building long-lasting relationships.
Born in Richmond BC, educated in the UK, Duncan began his career in real estate in rural England in 1985. This was followed by 10 years selling homes in London, England (over C$150,000,000 in sales volume). In 1996 he returned to Vancouver, using his experience to set the foundations of a long term sustainable business. In 1998 he earned his first industry recognition award and just three years later, Duncan had become the #1 Royal LePage Realtor in Vancouver. He has been recognized in both the Top 1% of all Greater Vancouver Realtors and the Top 1% in Canada for Royal LePage.
Duncan sees real estate as a lifetime vocation and takes both his profession and his clients’ needs very seriously. When he endorses a decision made by one of his clients it is not to ensure a quick closing or an easy commission. It is because, based on his knowledge, experience and understanding of the clients' needs, it is the very best move for them. His goal is that every person who uses his services becomes a long-term client and that feels comfortable recommending him to anyone they know.
